ESEA Title I Education $13,000M Includes $10 billion for Title I formula grants with $5 billion for targeted grants and $5 billion for finance incentive formulas; $3 billion for School Improvement grants. Funds are available for school years 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Impact Aid Education $100M Funding targeted to projects that are "shovel ready."
Educational Technology Education $650M Funding available for school years 2009-2010 & 2010-2011.
Education for Homeless Children Education $70M Grant is proportionate to the number of homeless children in 2007-2008 school year relative to the number of homeless children nationally.
Innovation & improvement Education $437M For funding the Teacher Incentive Fund.
Special Ed (IDEA) Education $12,200M For both Part B ($11.7 b.) and Part C ($500 m.); funds are to be used for school years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services Education $680M $540 m. in formula state grants and an additional $140 m. for independent living programs, of which $18.2 m. is for state grants, $87.5 m. for independent living centers and $34.3 m. for older blind individuals.
Higher Education Teacher Quality Education $100M Competitive grant to improve quality of teacher workforce.
